Chocolate with Almond
I made these chocolates in a bigger size, about 1cm. The colour of the chocolate was too light, I will need to darken the colour for the next round.

Per cookie is about 0.8cm.



Biscuit with Whipped Cream and Strawberry
Per biscuit is about 0.8cm. I tried another method for these whipped cream, instead of using piping, I used needle tool to shape the clay.


Sandwich

Sandwich
The 1st attempt sandwich that I made was not defined. The ham and tomato slice were too thick. I tried to make another one on the next day, it turned out fine but my friend can’t tell there was an egg with yolk flowing down, she thought it was mustard. So I think next time instead of putting the egg between the sandwich, I will put it on top of the bread.

Strawberry Tartlet and Strawberry Cane

Strawberry Tartlet
These strawberry slices were from my 4th attempt for strawberry cane. So far it was the best, but I need to add more translucent to it. The proportion was not right, I should make the strawberry smaller or the tart base bigger. The size of the tart base is 1cm.

These are the strawberry canes that I made over the past two weeks. 

1st Attempt – I need to add more details to it.
2nd Attempt – I needed to add more outer layer to it.
3rd Attempt – Look like spider.
4th Attempt – So far is the best, but I should add more translucent to it.


Cheesecake

Cheesecake with strawberry and chocolate topping
Per cheesecake is 0.7cm width. I used the 3rd attempt strawberry cane to make these cheesecake. The strawberry cane did not turned out well, it looked like spider TT.TT

Sushi

Sushi (Salmon, Prawn and Tamago)
During the first attempt, I added too much translucent clay to the salmon and prawn, they turned out too translucent.

On the second attempt, I tried to reduce the translucent but now the prawn turned out too white and the colour was not right, too reddish. I think it was not my day, other than the outcome of my sushi work, I accidently spilled a huge amount of varnish on my working area. I had to quickly used some of the varnish from the mat before it dried up and not realizing that I over varnished my work. 

I also realized that the baked polymer marble clay plate turned yellowish after rebake. So that mean I can’t rebake any light colour clay, cos it is quite obvious. I have two options, it is either I bake non-baked plate together with the food or I had to glue the food on the baked plate. I need to experiment them before I decide which I prefer. 

I will need to work on it again, hopefully I can get better result next round.

Other names for fondant au chocolat are chocolate fondant pudding, chocolate moelleux and chocolate lava cake.

The end product is over crowded with too much deco. I will need to minimize them next round.

Fruit Tartlets
Finally I bought an oven thermometer after my friend’s canes that I baked failed. I think it was due to my oven temperature because we unable to slice the cane nicely. Though I bought the thermometer but I have not try to bake the cane before slicing. I will try it someday.

I made some fruit tartlets using the lemon and kiwi canes I got from my friend. The orange slice was made by me but it was not nicely done, I still need to practice more. 


Salmon Sashimi

Salmon Sashimi
My friends did some plates and lemon cane for me. Though they are new with polymer clay making, but they did a very good job. I am glad to have them helping me out with what I am still weak at. We intent to sell some of our works so stay tune for more details.

To incorporate with the plate and cane I got, I made some salmon sashimi. At first, I over estimated the size, they were too big for the plate. I had to redo the salmon again. I was very happy with the end product.

Mont Blanc

Mont Blanc (Chestnut Cream Pastry)
Mont Blanc is a dessert piles with sweetened chestnut puree on top of meringues. The name resembles a snow-capped mountain. 

I wanted to make this since I started making miniature from polymer clay. The most difficult part of making Mont Blanc was piping the chestnut puree. I tried to use clay gun, but it was very difficult to pipe out the puree from the clay gun, maybe because I did not add any liquid clay to it. I decided to use the piping tip instead.


Blueberry Tartlets

Blueberry Tartlets
I did some blueberry tartlets. The first tartlet that I made was not successful. Very frustrated when doing the whipped cream, it was so messy and I did not managed to get the shape I wanted.  I am still very weak at it. 

On the same day, I did another bigger version. This time, I tried not to mix any liquid clay to my clay, it turned out fine. 

I continued to make more smaller version tartlets on the next day.
