New Year

After a month of hiatus, I am back making miniature again. My apologies and also feel guilty for not posting or working on any miniature during this festive season. Chinese New Year is round the corner too, so I will be busy with the preparation for this festive. Hopefully, I can be more active after February.

In this New Year, I have created a new branding identity, template and MonPuchiKissa blog web banner.

As for miniature, these are what I have done. After a long break, I realised that my skill for making miniature became rusty TT.TT

4 January 2013
Cherry Pie
The base of the cherry pie was a recycled bottle cap. I think the sauce should be in a darker red.

7-8 January 2013
Tomato Tart
On the 7th of January, I done my first attempt of the tomato tart but I added too much translucent clay to the tomato seeds and pine nuts. The seeds were hardly seen after baked. I did not take any photo of it. On the next day, I tried to reduce the portion of the translucent clay and they finally turned out well.

9-10 January 2013
Cranberry Cake
I was amazed when I saw a photograph of real cranberry cake in internet. I told myself I would be doing this next for miniature. The cranberries for the top were dust with fake sugar and chalk pastel.

11 January 2013
Raspberry Bundt Cake
I am still very weak at using liquid clay for icing. The portion for the liquid clay and white clay is not right. They turned out too translucent and watery after baked. I intend to do it again next week if I have time.

Sorry for such a long post, I should post them separately.

Hotdog

29 November 2012
Hotdog
I thought miniature hotdog would be easy to do but not. I am still not satisfied with the outcome.

Japanese Roll Cake

23 November 2012
Japanese Roll Cake
This roll cake is much bigger than the previous roll cake that I have done.

Star Cookies Christmas Tree

21-22 November 2012
Star Cookies Christmas Tree
I took two days to finish this miniature, duration time around 3 hours. On the first day I cut out all the stars using pen knife and pre-baked them. The next day, I piped them with liquid clay icing and baked them again. Then I stacked them to form a Christmas tree.

Christmas Mini Pudding

20 November  2012
Christmas Mini Pudding
I used circle cutter to cut out the edge of the leaf and pre-bake them so that it will be more easy to deco on the pudding.

Christmas Chocolate Fondant Pudding

Christmas Chocolate Fondant Pudding
Christmas is coming soon, it is one of my favorite festive and I am very excited about it.  I will be quite busy during year-end and might be taking a longer time to upload what I have done. This is the first Christmas miniature that I have made.
